Helping students build confidence, improve accuracy and prepare effectively for French exams

Language First Ireland offers online French grinds for secondary school students across Ireland, with a strong focus on Leaving Certificate preparation.

We provide structured, supportive and exam-focused French lessons for students who want to improve their oral, written, listening and reading skills.

Language First Ireland is based in Kinsale, Co. Cork, and provides online French grinds to students throughout Ireland. While lessons are delivered online, many of our students come from Kinsale, Cork city and the surrounding area.

Lessons are taught by a native French teacher with 20 years’ experience, including teaching in secondary schools in Cork and preparing students for the Leaving Certificate French exam.

Courses are designed as structured small-group programmes to encourage continuity, active participation and steady progress throughout the term.

Meet your French teacher

With over 20 years’ experience in language education, I have dedicated my career to helping students build confidence, develop strong language skills and prepare successfully for exams. I previously taught French in secondary schools in Cork, preparing students for the Leaving Certificate examination.

I hold a Master’s degree in Modern French Literature and French as a Foreign Language, and I have taught French in a wide range of educational settings across France, Ireland and Spain.

My teaching career began in secondary schools in France before moving to Ireland, where I taught French in secondary schools in Cork, including classes preparing for the Leaving Certificate. I also worked in Irish language schools, specialising in Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate French exam preparation, and taught French in primary schools in Cork as part of programmes supported by the Irish Department of Education.

I later moved to Spain, where I taught French at the Lycée Français International de Séville. There, I was also responsible for secondary education, language projects and cultural exchange programmes in collaboration with the cultural department of the French Consulate in Seville.

Today, I run a language school in Toulouse, France, specialising in English language training for adults, teenagers and children. My role includes designing language programmes, developing teaching materials, organising exams, recruiting and supporting teaching teams, and overseeing the overall pedagogical direction of the school.

Throughout my career, I have continued to develop my professional expertise through training in Ireland and France, including professional development with the Irish Department of Education.

At Language First Ireland, I bring together my experience as a native French teacher, exam preparation specialist and language school director to offer structured, supportive and effective French grinds for secondary school students in Ireland.

My aim is to help students not only improve their French, but also understand what is expected in the Irish exam system, gain confidence and approach their exams with clear strategies.
